Franziska Pohlmann hat sich als Komponistin auf Chöre und Orchester spezialisiert. Die Melodie als Erinnerungsträger ist ihr starkes Element. Ihre langjährige, musikalische Erfahrung bringt sie auch als Regisseurin in Filmproduktionen ein. Mit ihrem Musikfilm DIE KRONE VON ARKUS war sie nach dem Kinostart unter Anderem für den Metropolis Regiepreis nominiert. Während ihres Stipendiums in Studio Hamburgs "Haus der jungen Produzenten" gründete sie ihre eigene Filmproduktionsfirma 2013.

Neben einer weitreichenden Vernetzung im In- und Ausland arbeitet sie regelmäßig mit musikalischen Klangkörpern wie dem Babelsberger Filmorchester, ist Mitgründerin von track15 - female composers collective, sowie als Regisseurin u.a. für Akteure wie das Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin (Der NSU Prozess - Das Protokoll des Vierten Jahres) und den KIKA (Schloss Einstein) tätig.

Franziska Pohlmann specialized in working with choirs and orchestras as a composer. The melody as a repository of memory is her strongest element. In her work, she draws from experience as member of the Hamburg State Opera Choir, Musical Director at different theatres and songwriting for the past 20 years. Her musical work has always been an essential part of her cinematic handwriting. Franziska is an alumni of Studio Hamburgs „House of the Young Producers“ program and found her own film production comany in 2013. Her musical feature film THE CROWN OF ARKUS was nominated for the German METROPOLIS prize for directing. In addition to her broad international network she is an established director, composer and producer working for various TV-formats, among them SCHLOSS EINSTEIN or the NSU PROTOCOLS.
